About Sophie

Funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme, the Seas, Oceans and Public Health in Europe project (SOPHIE) is helping to build new research capacity for the emerging scientific discipline of Oceans and Human Health. Amongst many other thingsSOPHIE is nurturing a network of people and organisations interested in the links between oceans and human health, and exploring how marine tourism and citizen science can contribute to this exciting area of research.
